Council adopts small year-end appropriation amendment to balance 2025–26 budgets

The Controller estimated “that at the end of the year we should have a surplus of about $100,000 in the general fund.” The council opened the public hearing and, finding no speakers, closed it before taking the vote.
Following the public hearing, councilors voted by roll call to adopt the ordinance. The roll call as recorded in the transcript shows Councilmember DeWaard, Councilmember Flaugh, Councilmember Moore, Councilmember Bosha and Mayor Am voting "Yes." No dissent or abstentions were recorded.
The action was presented as a technical year-end adjustment. Council did not request additional changes to the ordinance during the meeting; staff indicated these are not final year-end numbers but adjustments to ensure no line items are overrun.
