The Shapleigh Selectmen appointed William Jealous to the town planning board after a motion and unanimous vote.
The clerk introduced William "Bill" Jealous as a resident with prior planning-board experience in New Hampshire and available to fill the vacancy left by a recent resignation. A selectman moved to appoint Jealous; the chair announced "Motion by Tom, 2nd by Mike" and recorded the vote as 3–0 in favor.
The board noted two alternate vacancies remain on the planning board and encouraged residents to apply. The clerk also reminded the board that the capital improvement committee will meet next Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. to begin planning future savings and projects.
