At its Feb. 24 meeting the Shapleigh Planning Board took several administrative actions: it tabled an application that contained unapproved expansions, scheduled site visits for other applicants, approved a revised completion date for one project and elected a new vice chair.
The board determined a replacement plan submitted by Sean contained expansion language not previously approved and voted to table the application until the applicant returns with the correct final plan or further explanation. Chair (speaker 1) asked for the item to be held so applicants have a chance to submit corrected materials.
The board scheduled site inspections related to Todd Bressett’s application for March 2 (backup March 9) and accepted an offer to supply 3‑D imaging if snow prevents an in‑person inspection. For a separate island project that lacked required post‑construction photos, the board approved a motion to extend the completion/photo submission deadline to June 30, 2026; the motion was moved, seconded and approved.
Finally, the board elected Dennis Glover as vice chair after a nomination from the chair; Mr. Glover accepted and the board voted unanimously.
Other business included briefing the board on recent Zoning Board of Appeals minutes (including a withdrawal of an appeal) and preliminary guidance for a conditional use permit to reopen a restaurant (materials required include site plan, parking and fire chief input).
