Council approves mutual-aid pact with Logan City Fire

The Brigham City Council voted to approve an interlocal mutual-aid agreement with Logan City Fire on June 18. Assistant Chief (presenting) described the pact as reciprocal: it formalizes assistance Logan could provide Brigham City and vice versa. The agreement supplements previous interlocal pacts with neighboring jurisdictions and reflects recent mutual-aid responses to a structure fire when North View, Tmont and Garland assisted Brigham City.
Council members said these agreements are important for assuring response capacity when incidents place heavy demand on local resources. The motion to approve was moved by Council Member Troxell, seconded by Council Member Smith, and approved by voice vote.
