Broken Bow swears in two councilmembers and elects Russ Smith council president

The Broken Bow City Council administered oaths of office to East Ward Councilmember Joe Wamsley and West Ward Councilmember Travis Kleeb on Dec. 10. City Attorney Jason White performed the oaths after the council adjourned sine die and reconvened the reorganization meeting at 6:09 p.m.
Mayor Rod Sonnichsen presented plaques to outgoing councilmembers Chris Myers and Luke Wassom and thanked them for their service; City Administrator Dave Schmidt also offered thanks. Councilmember Paul Holland moved and Councilmember Travis Kleeb seconded a motion to elect Councilmember Russ Smith as City Council President; the motion carried unanimously.
The council welcomed the newly sworn members and closed the meeting at 6:21 p.m.
