Council approves Story Walk at Melham Park with Library Foundation

The Broken Bow City Council on Oct. 8 approved a partnership with the Broken Bow Library Foundation to install a Story Walk along the Melham Park walking trail.
Library Director Megan Svoboda described the project as a family-friendly activity featuring about 25 stands displaying storybook pages. Svoboda said the Foundation will lead fundraising and grant-seeking, rotate stories periodically, and be responsible for ongoing maintenance; the city parks department will help determine placement and cement the stands in place.
The motion to approve the partnership passed on a roll call vote with Councilmembers voting in favor.
