Council waives $27,950.18 in FY2023 PILOT funds to Broken Bow Housing Authority

The Broken Bow City Council voted Oct. 8 to waive Payment In Lieu Of Taxes (PILOT) funds for FY2023 amounting to $27,950.18 and return them to the Broken Bow Housing Authority.
Broken Bow Housing Authority Director Anna Martin presented the authority’s annual report, highlighted capital improvements completed in 2023 and outlined plans for 2024 and ongoing community needs. Martin requested the council waive the FY2023 PILOT funds back to the authority to support those efforts.
Councilmember Paul Holland moved to grant the waiver; Russ Smith seconded the motion and the council approved it by roll call vote with Smith, Wassom and Holland voting aye and no nays recorded.
