Howard Buchanan unanimously elected chair of the Sonoita Creek Flood and Flow Study Committee

The Sonoita Creek Flood and Flow Study Committee appointed Howard Buchanan as its chairperson for a one-year term at its Oct. 16 meeting.
Bill O’Brien announced he is retiring and the committee thanked him for his service. Howard Buchanan volunteered to accept the chair position; Ron moved the nomination, Robert seconded, and the committee voted unanimously to approve the appointment.
The committee also proposed moving regular monthly meetings to the second Thursday of the month and scheduled the next meeting for Nov. 13, 2025, at 10 a.m. A motion to adjourn was made by Kate Tirion and seconded by Kathy; the meeting concluded without further recorded action.
