ZCHS marching band honored as 2025 Scholastic A state champion at board meeting

The Zionsville Community Schools Board of Trustees opened its Dec. 8 meeting by recognizing the ZCHS Marching Band after an announcement that the band was named the 2025 Scholastic A Marching Band State Champion. Superintendent Rebecca Coffman invited ZCHS Band Director Tom Landrum to the podium to share highlights of the award-winning season and to introduce two seniors who described their experiences in the program.
Board President Katherine Aeschliman and other trustees congratulated the students and thanked the band and staff for attending the meeting to celebrate the accomplishment. The recognition was presented as part of the superintendent’s reports and did not involve a formal board vote or budgetary action.
