Wynnedale schedules neighborhood safety meeting; council flags trees and sinking drainage lid

Members of Wynnedale’s Safety and Security Committee reported June 10 that they met with Paula Barnes of IMPD Crime Watch and set a neighborhood meeting for 6 p.m. on June 26 at the Fitness Farm.
Judy Gruber and Tammy Callahan, representing the Safety and Security Committee, told the council they had met with IMPD Crime Watch; the minutes record the planned neighborhood meeting as an opportunity for residents to discuss local safety concerns. The meeting minutes list Tammy Callahan and Libby Goodnight as residents present at the June 10 meeting.
Council members also noted other neighborhood maintenance and safety concerns. The minutes record dead limbs in the esplanade and discussion of pursuing a Keep Indianapolis Beautiful grant; Ann Hildner will circulate an arborist report to council members and Carolyn Bryan volunteered to help. Conor Lee was recorded as the council member who will call the Department of Public Works about a sinking drainage lid in North Wynnedale. The minutes also note that Chuck Streeter has car-count data for the town.
The council recorded there will be no regular meeting in July. The next meeting is scheduled for August 12, 2025, at the Fitness Farm.
