Wynnedale council approves contract with Keiser Consulting for North Wynnedale paving

Wynnedale Town Council voted June 10 to approve a contract with Keiser Consulting to manage the North Wynnedale paving project, authorizing an $8,800 project management fee pending receipt of a revised contract.

Ann Hildner, council president, moved to approve the new contract after Keiser agreed to add six months to the contract dates and include language allowing changes; Cheryl McBride seconded the motion and "all the council members voted in favor, pending receipt of a revised copy of the contract via email," according to the meeting minutes. The council recorded that Keiser will honor the town’s next project in 2025-2 or 2026-1.

Council members discussed two construction options for North Wynnedale: milling 2.0 inches and resurfacing 2.0 inches (with sidewalks) or a double microsurface treatment. The meeting minutes list the $8,800 fee as covering the paving estimate, grant submittal work and project management to oversee the work.

As part of the pavement program, Judy Gruber and Ann Hildner will receive training on Paser pavement-condition ratings to support the town’s road assessments. Separately, the minutes note that equipment has been positioned on Roland Road and that crews must complete the whole 42nd Street entrance before paving begins in South Wynnedale on the next scheduled workdays.

The council’s approval is conditional on receiving the revised contract language by email; the minutes record that the vote was unanimous among the council members present. The council set its next meeting for August 12, 2025 at the Fitness Farm.
