The North Miami Community Schools board on Sept. 17 approved several personnel items, accepting resignations, approving a leave of absence and hiring non-certified staff and extracurricular coaches.
The board accepted resignations from DJ Sailors (maintenance technician) and Christy Hill (MS/HS custodian). The board also approved a leave of absence for Terri Eisenmenger, high-school cook, effective Aug. 26 for approximately six weeks. Motions to approve these personnel items passed 6-0.
The board approved non-certified hires including Michelle Butcher as MS/HS nurse, Dawn Alderfer as elementary cook, Zach Fewell as MS/HS custodian and Alisha Denham as elementary paraprofessional. The board also approved athletics and academic appointments: Emma Wright as 6th-grade volleyball coach, volunteer coaches Tristan Working, Mallory Hoover and Alexa Hartley for football/volleyball roles, and Kevin Leach for MS/HS Robotics. All personnel motions were approved unanimously.
Several motions listed the board members who moved and seconded the items in the minutes; recorded votes show 6-0 approvals. The actions authorize district administration to complete hiring paperwork and proceed with onboarding and volunteer background checks where required.
