Treasurer Jarnell Craig presented the proposed 2026 Wynnedale town budget at the Sept. 9 meeting and said council members discussed line-item changes to free money for upcoming road repairs. Craig told the council that the CCMG grant still owes the town about $19,000 for 2025-1 road repairs; the council scheduled the formal budget vote for Oct. 14, 2025.
Resident Chuck Streeter described traffic-count work he has done for South Wynnedale and Cold Spring Road, saying the raw counts record vehicle class, speed and volume. He told the council he plans to gather additional data in the fall for North Wynnedale, 42nd Street and 44th Street, that the equipment is borrowed from the city, and that the town is investigating radar equipment for Cold Spring Road.
No formal budget vote was taken at the Sept. 9 meeting; council members agreed to continue reviewing the proposal and to vote at the Oct. 14 meeting. The minutes do not include line-item totals or the treasurer’s full budget document; those materials were not attached to the recorded minutes.
