Wolcottville council approves phased network upgrades for town departments

Vice President Steven Cords moved to approve network upgrades starting with the Wastewater Department and continuing with Water, Police and Town Hall. Council Member Jeff Sorg seconded the motion; the council voted unanimously to carry it.
The council did not disclose vendor pricing or a total project budget in the meeting minutes. Council members framed the vote as a prioritized approach to reduce immediate operational risk for wastewater and water systems; a procurement process and implementation schedule were not published at the July 1 session.
The council recorded the approval as a motion with unanimous support; the next procedural steps are contract finalization, scheduling of replacement work, and budgeting for the unannounced costs of equipment and installation.
