The North Knox School Corp Board of Trustees moved through routine consent and personnel items, approving minutes, claims and a range of operational items.
The board approved the March 9 meeting minutes and accepted claims and financial statements (tab B) after no questions were raised. The board approved an Airmark food‑service contract renewal (tab I); staff said the renewal includes roughly a 4.1% increase tied to higher commodity costs.
Other consent approvals included summer athletic schedules for volleyball, football and boys basketball (tab C); the Northox Intermediate emergency plan (TAB D) with highlighted changes noted; and a Summer Jump Start program at North Primary scheduled for July 13–24 (tab E). The board also approved volunteer assistant softball coaches Kobe Cleo and Dustin McClure and a volunteer high‑school baseball coach (Betty) following background checks.
Personnel actions: the board accepted resignations from North Knox Junior‑Senior High School English teacher Jordan Clong and history teacher Alan Bing, and approved a leave of absence for North Knox Primary teacher Shay Marzac (medical). The board also approved a facility use request from the nonprofit Backpack Blessings to distribute school supplies at North Knox Primary on July 24–25.
All of these items were approved by motion and voice vote; the transcript does not list mover/second by name or a roll‑call tally. Staff said more information on staffing vacancies and testing schedules will be provided at the next meeting.
