Selectman Gregory Ring told the Sullivan Select Board April 15 that the town’s roads are showing improvement from seasonal frost heaves but flagged Upper Tunk Lake Road as needing urgent repairs and Taunton Drive as due for paving. He also said posted weight-limit signs on town-owned roads can be removed.
During the same discussion, audience member Don Snoke suggested forming a Road Task Force to help the town prioritize road projects. The suggestion was recorded in the minutes but the board did not adopt a formal task-force charter or set a timetable during the meeting.
The board’s discussion emphasized the need for a formal plan for ongoing road upkeep; no funding allocations or formal motions to create a task force were recorded in the minutes.
