ENNIS, Texas — The Ennis City Commission recessed into a closed executive session at the start of its April 7 special meeting to consult with the city attorney about pending litigation, citing Texas Government Code §551.071.
The clerk read the cases into the record as City of Ennis v. District Partners Limited and listed downtown Ennis property addresses (including 112–118 West Brown Street and 110 South Dallas Street). The clerk also read two case numbers as pending in the 40th Judicial District Court, Ellis County.
After returning to open session at about 7:02 p.m., the presiding official said there was no action to take as a result of the executive session.
