Wastewater staff explained contractors are already on site and that some valves and gates cannot currently be operated, preventing the team from taking tanks offline for repairs. The board heard staff say postponing the work would likely increase cost and delay compliance with state and federal standards. Board members moved to recommend the article and voted 4–0 to do so.
Staff noted the unaudited 2025 ending balance of the fund and that if other related warrant articles pass, the estimated post‑warrant balance would be reported in the final warrant materials. The recommendation allows the town to use funds already set aside for wastewater infrastructure to complete necessary work this construction season.
