Greentown holds public hearing on 2025 budget; adoption set for Sept. 17

President Scott Deyce read the proposed 2025 budget for Greentown Civil Town during a public hearing on Aug. 20, 2024, and told residents that the 2025 Budget adoption (Ordinance 2024-6) will be considered on Sept. 17, 2024. "The Notice to Taxpayers is available online at www.budgetnotices.in.gov or by calling (888) 739-9826," Deyce said.
The hearing drew no public comment, and Deyce closed the public hearing after the reading. Following the hearing, the Town Council convened its regular meeting and took up routine business.
Council members approved the minutes of their Aug. 6 meeting after a motion by Mark Lantz and a second from James Skinner; the transcript records the motion carried but does not list a roll-call tally. The council also approved dockets for Aug. 7–20 that show fund expenditures as follows: General Fund $54,370.46; Water Fund $23,600.25; Wastewater Fund $62,737.61; Stormwater Fund $17,229.07.
