Selectboard adopts FY 2025–26 budget

The Town Clerk, Yvette Grindle, explained that because the June 10 election leaves a 14-day window under bifurcated town meeting rules, the meeting to vote on the budget needs to be held on June 23. Resident John Keenan raised concerns about the bifurcated meeting process and requested written documentation that the town’s schedule complies with Title 30-A timing; the town clerk agreed to provide the requested information.
The board did not provide detailed line-item changes during the meeting; Weintraub presented the proposal and the Selectboard accepted it. The town will hold the budget vote on June 23 as advised by the clerk.
