Chief (Vice Mayor) Greg Brush provided Tusayan Fire District updates including a vaccination event, a blood drive and the Fourth Volunteer Firefighter Academy led by Captain Greg Lawrence, which starts in October. Brush also reminded residents to be careful in the canyon after multiple recent fatalities in Grand Canyon National Park.
Tusayan Sanitary District representative Bob Petzoldt said road striping work would be completed the following day. Town Manager Hendrix reported that ADOT held an open house at the airport about a new runway project and said she would follow up with ADOT about knocked-over signs, crosswalks and curbing failures.
At 6:18 p.m. Vice Mayor Brush moved to adjourn; Council Member Kathryn Kanallakan seconded and the motion carried. The minutes were later certified by Town Clerk Tina M. Abriani on Nov. 12, 2024.
