Utility Clerk Tiffany Sprunger presented multiple permit applications at the Oct. 7 Wolcottville council meeting, including a new-house tap application from Anthony Miller for South 110 E. with a tap fee of $2,692 and a home addition permit for George England. Granite Ridge Builders will demolish and rebuild a house at 680 E. 660 S.; that project will require sewer line cut‑and‑cap inspections and the permit specifies a cleanout, a backflow preventer and a "candy cane" installation. Marc and Diana Faytor plan a remodel at 0750 E. 660 S.; Vera Mastroddi plans a business remodel at 103 N. Main St.
Clerk‑Treasurer Heidi Huff told the council that Bright Speed crews bored in areas served by town sewers and struck sewer lines near the lakes. Town employees responded and made repairs using town equipment. The town invoiced three companies for reimbursement of town labor and equipment costs and has received one payment to date.
Huff also reported that Surf Internet provided a one‑million‑dollar bond and certificate of liability required for a permit to begin work in Wolcottville; permit restrictions require the company to contact town employees for inspections before starting work at new project locations. Huff said the town hall has experienced internet outages that have disrupted office work; Samuel Lovetace told the council he will address the town‑hall internet upgrades before proceeding with water and sewer plant upgrades.
The council did not take separate motions on individual permits at this meeting beyond acknowledging the applications and required inspection conditions. The Budget Adoption Meeting was announced for Oct. 14, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at town hall.
