Permit applications would include a layout plan showing the use location, any proposed lighting and grading, potential wetland impacts, details about the level of activity, information about aircraft and fuel usage/storage and the proximity of activity to nearby residents. Mark said additional information may be required on a case‑by‑case basis so the board can make an informed decision.
Board members clarified scope: building runway infrastructure would not be prohibited by zoning alone, but active flight operations from a private runway would require the conditional‑use permit approval and related conditions. The board voted unanimously to add the proposed language to the general provisions of the ordinance.
