The committee reviewed a May 10 cleanup of the playground and skate park that took place in heavy rain; a small number of volunteers completed weeds and debris removal and the site is expected to be easier to maintain moving forward.
Other programming notes included a low-turnout tennis demo held in inclement weather (one attendee) and a reminder that Age Friendly will host music and a food truck at Sumner Park on Wednesdays in July from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The committee again solicited volunteers for furniture assembly, grounds work and Sullivan Daze event coverage.
