At its Dec. 17 meeting the Village of Timberlake council unanimously approved a set of resolutions and one ordinance covering personnel, appropriations, transfers and insurance. Key actions recorded in the minutes included:
- Resolution No. 2024-51 (Rules Suspended): Authorize the mayor to hire Officer Brandon Kubes as an auxiliary patrolman. Motion to suspend the three-reading rule and final adoption passed; council administered an oath of office. (Mover to approve: Mr. Thompson; Second: Mr. Joyce; roll call: all in favor.)
- Resolution No. 2024-52 (Rules Suspended): Authorize the mayor to hire Officer Eli Dykema as an auxiliary patrolman. (Mover to approve: Mr. Thompson; Second: Mrs. Marra; roll call: all in favor; oath administered.)

- Resolution No. 2024-26 (Third Reading): Transfer $15,000 from General Fund (1000) to Police Cruiser Fund (4901). Motion and roll call approval; all members voted in favor. Council noted $55,000 would then be available toward a cruiser purchase and that matching grant options are being explored.
- Resolution No. 2024-27 (Rules Suspended): Transfer $41,322 from General Fund (1000) to Paving Improvement OPWC Debt Service Fund for 2025. Motion and roll call approval; all in favor.
- Resolution No. 2024-54 (Rules Suspended): Correct certain resolutions passed at the Nov. 21 special meeting (including officer name corrections). Motion and roll call approval; all in favor.
- Resolution No. 2024-55 (Rules Suspended): Amend 2024 appropriations (includes $100,000 from Sanitary Sewer Fund proposed for payment to Eastlake; payment on hold). Motion and roll call approval; all in favor.
- Resolution No. 2024-56 (Rules Suspended): Authorize continuation of property and casualty insurance with Love Insurance Agency (~$16,500 premium). Motion and roll call approval; all in favor.
- Resolution No. 2024-59: Presented for first reading an MOU with the City of Eastlake regarding alleged past-due wastewater balances (first reading only; no final vote).
- Ordinance No. 11-2024 (Third Reading): Amend wages and salaries for village employees; council approved on third reading by unanimous roll call.
