Western Wayne board approves hires, resignations, coaches and extracurricular appointments
Summary

The board approved hiring non-certified support staff Crystal Jones (elementary instructional aide — music) and Mercedes Gilpin (elementary instructional aide).
Coaching staff approvals for the 2024–25 seasons included Carter Mettler (8th grade boys’ basketball), Lucious Pitcock (high school varsity girls’ softball), Heather Brower (high school assistant cheer coach) and Richai Riggs (8th grade volleyball). The board also approved ECA appointments including Kevin Munchel and Dylan Miller (LMHS Teacher Leadership Team), Kelly DeVaughn (MS Builders Club), Jennifer Miller (MS Student Government) and Randy Lear (yearbook). All personnel actions were approved unanimously, 3-0.
