Mayor Marshall Simeon called the inaugural Riverside Spring Festival a success, thanking attendees, vendors, artists, performers, sponsors, volunteers and city staff for helping make the riverfront event possible.
"The Riverside Spring Festival showcased the very [music] best of Lake Charles, putting the Lake City vibe on full display and demonstrating what can happen when we come together as one Lake Charles," Simeon said.
He recognized Team Green and Keep Greater Lake Charles Beautiful for their dedication to keeping Lake Charles clean, green and beautiful and said the city earned recognition during this year's Love the Boot Week, presented by Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser. The mayor invited residents to two upcoming celebrations tied to America's 250th: the Patriots Ball of Louisiana on Saturday, June 27, and the Red, White, Blue and You Festival on July 4.
Simeon closed by thanking viewers and emphasizing resilience and opportunities for future generations, signing off with a call to the "Lake City vibe" and "one Lake Charles."
