Sweetser council hears maintenance updates; Area Plan Commission director introduces himself

The Sweetser Town Council received maintenance and planning updates at its March 27, 2025 meeting. Chair Kyle Taylor reported that crews “have been patching some of the big potholes around town,” that paving is tentatively scheduled to start Monday, April 7, and that the dump truck bed has been removed and sold for $800. He also noted the pavilion toilet needs replacement.
During the public forum, Todd Glancy introduced himself as the new Executive Director of the Area Plan Commission and asked whether the town planned to designate a representative on the commission and whether there were current needs the commission should know about. The minutes record his attendance and introduction but do not show a formal council decision on representation.
The council also noted that installation of the Flock camera system remains pending; no installation date or formal approval was recorded in the minutes. The Parks Department president position was noted as vacant and no parks report was given.
