Glencoe approves $120,845 change order to add IT and security work to clubhouse prime contract

The Glencoe Village Board on June 18 approved Change Order No. 5 with the golf clubhouse construction manager W.B. Olson to incorporate IT and security scope into the contractor’s work, at a cost not to exceed $120,845 and adding 14 calendar days to the schedule.
Public Works Director Monica Sarna said the change order moves conduit and cabling scope into the prime contract to improve coordination and efficiency, while the village will procure and install the cameras themselves. The revised substantial completion date is August 28, 2026; liquidated damages provisions previously adopted remain in effect starting August 29 and escalate after Labor Day.
Trustees voted to approve the change order by roll call. Sarna said many items tied to final finishes are being bundled into a potential change order six to close out remaining construction adjustments as the project nears completion.
