Council reappoints two school board members and swears in new Wabash patrolman

The Wabash City Council reappointed Rhonda Hipskin and Connie Gorman to fill two expiring terms on the Wabash City School Board and administered the oath to Mark A. Dixon as a first-class patrolman for the Wabash Police Department.
Councilman Dylan introduced the school-board applicants, saying both had submitted packets and were present for questions. Rhonda Hipskin explained why she sought reappointment: "I have enjoyed the last seven years that I've been on the board and I feel like we've turned some things around with Wabash City Schools," she said, adding that she had taught for more than 40 years and wanted to continue working with district leadership.
Council members moved and seconded the reappointments and approved both by roll call. Members then welcomed the appointees and thanked them for continuing service.
In a separate ceremonial item the council swore in Mark A. Dixon as a first-class patrolman for the Wabash Police Department. Dixon recited the oath and the mayor and council welcomed him.
