The Sweetser Town Council voted Jan. 9 to adopt Ordinance 2024‑8, the 2025 Salary Ordinance, which establishes maximum pay rates for town officials and employees.
The ordinance lists authorized annual or hourly rates, including a $6,000 annual cap for the Town Council President and $4,000 for council members; Clerk‑Treasurer maximum annual compensation of $36,000; Operations Manager $63,000; Town Marshal $52,000; and several hourly and temporary positions with specified caps. Council members discussed the ordinance and then approved it by motion.
Travis LeMaster moved to pass the ordinance and Matt Moore seconded; the vote was unanimous. The ordinance sets maximums; actual payroll actions remain subject to personnel policy and budget availability.
