The Stilesville Town Board on May 13 approved several routine contracts, scheduled a town clean-up and a public hearing on additional appropriations, and authorized payment of monthly vouchers totaling $43,386.59.
The board awarded the playground-mulch bid to Green Cycle of Danville for 30 yards, with tentative delivery set for June 6. It also awarded the dumpster bid for the town clean-up day to Jack’s and set June 13 as the clean-up date. The decisions were announced during the new-business portion of the meeting.
The board scheduled a public hearing on additional appropriations for June 10 at 6:30 p.m. to consider adjustments to the town budget. The board also voted 3-0 to accept the previous month’s minutes.
On finance, a motion to pay the month’s claims carried 3-0. Vouchers dated May 1–31, 2026 in the town’s voucher register totaling $43,386.59 were reviewed and approved by the Town Board members.
The meeting opened with the pledge of allegiance at 7 p.m. and included reports from the Fire Department and the Town Marshal. The Fire Chief thanked supporters of a recent slider drive-thru fundraiser; the Town Marshal provided an update on ordered police equipment.
The board adjourned following routine business; the motion to adjourn carried 3-0.
