TOPEKA, Ind. — The Topeka Redevelopment Commission met Aug. 12 and approved its July minutes and the Clerk-Treasurer’s claims package, which included a $60,000 request for READI funds from Club 720 Development Corporation.
President Harold Gingerich called the meeting to order at 4:46 p.m. and the commission recorded the presence of Board Members Harold Gingerich, Ray Folk, Marlynn Mast and Mark Webster, and Clerk-Treasurer Lea Parks. Marlynn Mast moved to approve the July 8, 2024 minutes; Mark Webster seconded and the commission voted unanimously to adopt them.
Clerk-Treasurer Lea Parks presented the claims for payment. The commission approved the claims by unanimous vote. The claims package, as recorded in the meeting minutes, included a $60,000 READI funds request submitted by Club 720 Development Corporation; the commission did not record additional discussion or separate action on that request beyond its inclusion in the approved claims.
The Town Manager provided a brief update on a local housing development, reporting that earthwork is complete and sewer lines are being installed. The update was informational; no schedule or funding decisions were recorded during the meeting.
