Town of Pines: fire department reports 20 calls and a new EMT; street crews ready for leaf pickup and reviewing tree-trimming quote

The Fire Department reported 20 calls in September and said it added another EMT to the team. Officials also noted one fire truck was taken out of service after being rear-ended on Route 94 while responding to an accident.
Street Department staff member Rob said crews are prepped and ready for leaf pickup. Council member Vicki Kuzio said she is working with Jon's Tree Service to identify overhanging trees that are too tall for the town to trim; she said the vendor will circulate and provide a quote of approximately $2,700. Shelby Lowe requested alleyway trimming, and Vicki said she is also seeking a new supplier for road salt.
