The Town of Pines Town Council approved the town’s 2025 budget at its Dec. 4 meeting and carried motions to approve the Nov. 6 minutes and pay November claims.
Councilmember Janice Lowe moved to approve the Nov. 6 minutes; Vicki Kuzio seconded and Janice, Kuzio and President James Prast voted yes, carrying the motion 3-0. The council later moved to pay November 2024 claims on a motion by Lowe seconded by Kuzio; the same three members voted yes and the motion carried 3-0.
Janice Lowe, presenting for Clerk-Treasurer Shelby Lowe (who was out ill), told the council Shelby is preparing year-end closing and has paid and prepared for another year with the keystone program. Lowe said Shelby is awaiting a Reith Riley check to clear so CCMG work can be finalized and sent to Marcia.
The council did not record any roll-call opposition to the budget; the meeting minutes show the 2025 budget was approved, but no mover/second were recorded in the transcript for that specific vote. The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
