Town of Pines council approves September minutes and claims; schedules Oct. 16 budget meeting

At its Oct. 2 meeting the Town of Pines Council approved the September meeting minutes and September claims, and the council tentatively set a budget meeting for Oct. 16 after the clerk reported a scheduling issue with Gateway.
The Town of Pines Council voted unanimously to approve the September meeting minutes and to pay the September 2024 claims during its regular meeting on Oct. 2, 2024.
Vicki Kuzio moved to approve the September minutes and James Prast, the council president, seconded; both voted yes and the motion carried 2-0. Later in the meeting, Kuzio moved to approve minutes from the budget hearing; Prast seconded and the council again voted 2-0 to carry the motion.
Clerk Treasurer Shelby Lowe told the council she needs assistance from the Budget Representative to complete entries in the town's Gateway system and is tentatively rescheduling the dedicated budget meeting to Oct. 16 at 6:00 p.m. The council reiterated the next regular meeting will be Nov. 6 at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting also included routine updates from departments and a claims vote. Vicki Kuzio moved to pay the September claims; Prast seconded, and the vote carried 2-0.
The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
