The Topeka Town Council on June 24 elected Adam Lambright council president and picked Steve Schrock as vice president in unanimous votes, and approved claims for payment.
Vice President Adam Lambright presided over the meeting and the council took roll call before voting. Ray Folk nominated Lambright for president with Justin Geigley seconding; the council recorded 'All Ayes.' Folk then nominated Steve Schrock for vice president, also with a unanimous 'All Ayes' vote.
Council considered minutes from its June 10 meeting. A motion to approve the minutes carried but was not unanimous; Clerk-Treasurer Lea Parks recorded that Justin Geigley recused himself from the vote. On claims, Ray Folk moved to approve and Marlynn Mast seconded; the motion passed with all ayes.
The meeting concluded with the council setting its next regular meeting for July 8, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. The session was adjourned by President Adam Lambright at 5:46 p.m.
