Councilmember Bruce Straughn moved to excuse Griggs; Councilmember Tom FitzGerald seconded. The motion passed 4–0, with Mayor Matthew Hartman and Councilmembers Tom FitzGerald, Steven Glenn and Bruce Straughn recorded as voting aye and no recorded nays.
The council then proceeded with the evening’s agenda, including review of the 2027–2041 Capital Improvement Plan and an initial discussion of Planned Residential Developments. No further action related to Councilmember Griggs’ absence was recorded.
