At its meeting the Whitman-Hanson Regional School Committee took several routine votes.
What the committee approved - Meeting minutes: The committee moved and approved the minutes for May 6 and May 20. The June 3 minutes were approved with recorded abstentions; the chair noted "eight in favor and an abstention from Mr. McCollum," which was later clarified in discussion to reflect two abstentions.
- High school School Improvement Plan: The committee accepted the revised plan unanimously after the high school council tightened and clarified goals.
- Unit B memorandum of agreement addendum: Committee members voted to approve an addendum described as non-financial corrective language; the motion passed unanimously.
- Policy adoptions: The committee advanced and voted to adopt a large set of policies (codes reviewed at third reading), and recorded the vote as unanimous.
- Policy subcommittee charge: The committee read and unanimously approved the policy subcommittee’s formal charge to review, draft and recommend policy changes.
Several of these motions were noted by members without a formal roll-call tally recorded in the transcript; where the transcript provided counts it is noted above. No contested votes were recorded in the meeting minutes read aloud during the session.
