Bob Fulton, president of the Hobart Sanitary District, presided as the board approved two procurement items that shape maintenance and engineering work for the year.
Tim Kingsland told the board that requests for proposals to maintain HSD‑managed sites were sent to three firms and that Davey’s Tree Expert Company submitted the lowest bid, $42,680.00. The board approved awarding the 2026 HSD maintenance contract to Davey’s (motion by Joe Broadaway, seconded by Gutierrez; all aye, motion carried).
Kingsland also said the Robinson Engineering contract for assessment of Lift Stations 15 and 18 had been reviewed and approved by Attorney Jim Meyer. Bob Csanyi of Robinson Engineering was present to answer questions and the board approved the assessment contract (motion by Joe Broadaway, seconded by Gutierrez; all aye, motion carried).
Board members noted Davey’s has served as a contractor for the past two years. Kingsland indicated the city will coordinate with the new contract and Robinson Engineering to begin assessment and routine maintenance work in the coming months.
