After returning from an executive session on personnel matters, council read a memo dated April 28 into the record listing mid‑year reappointments and then took formal action.
The council reappointed Council member Dirks to the New Albany East Community Authority for a two‑year term (05/17/2025–05/16/2027). It also reappointed three members of the Idea Implementation Panel — Marie Alvarado Colon, Conner Barry and Dr. Therese Segal — and reappointed Sustainability Advisory Board member Gallo to three‑year terms beginning July 1, 2025. A motion to reappoint the listed individuals carried on a 5–0 vote.
Separately, following Clerk Mason's annual performance review, a council member moved to award the clerk an annual merit bonus under the city's performance system and grant 32 hours of personal leave under codified ordinance; council approved the motion 5–0. Council members thanked staff and the clerk for ongoing service.
