Todd County board approves consent items, hires, contracts and security upgrades

At the June 2 meeting the Todd County Board approved its consent agenda and a series of routine administrative actions.
The board approved prior meeting minutes for May 5 and 19, 2026, accepted resignations including Correctional Officer Ross Bollin (effective June 7) and Deputy Brittney Hendricks (effective June 30), and approved hires including Marshall Carlson for a Seasonal Recreational Assistant position and Trevor Larson for a part-time deputy position. Wage and rate details are recorded in the minutes.
Commissioner warrants and Health & Human Services warrants were approved in the amounts recorded in the minutes; the vendor warrant listings for multiple vendors were also entered in the record. The board approved a SWCD purchase of a 2026 Chevy Colorado for $34,504.45 via State bid and granted additional fairgrounds access to the Todd County Fair Board with rental fees waived for preparatory time beginning June 3 (utilities to be reimbursed by the Fair Board). The board approved contracts for police services for the cities of Burtrum, Grey Eagle, Browerville, Clarissa, Eagle Bend, Hewitt and Bertha.
Other actions included approving a Hold Harmless Agreement allowing Dale Lyon to maintain a portion of County Ditch 44 under specified conditions, approving corrections to two Health & Human Services board actions with effective dates of May 22, 2026, and authorizing a Panic Button System Upgrade ($14,180) and a Door Badging System Upgrade for the Justice Center (paid from a Safe & Secure Courthouse Grant and Public Safety Aid funds totaling $94,780). The meeting recessed to June 16, 2026; the minutes were subsequently approved at that meeting and signed by Chairperson Bob Byers and Denise Gaida, Todd County Auditor-Treasurer.
