North Huntingdon board approves routine purchases, including grant-funded police vehicles

The North Huntingdon Board of Commissioners on June 17 approved a set of routine administrative and procurement actions, including an $89,100 purchase of two Ford Interceptor vehicles and a $36,153.30 paint contract for the Keystone Sports Complex pickleball courts.
Manager Faulk presented the recommendations: the board voted to advertise an RFP for a trolley line trail study and to advertise bids for solid-waste and recycling services. The board also approved the purchase of two Ford Interceptors from Laurel Auto Group under Co-Stars vendor contract number 178949; the transcript records the purchase amount as $89,100 and indicates it is “100% grant funded.”
Manager Faulk credited Senator Kim Ward’s office for the funding: "That is correct. We'd like to thank Senator Ward for um providing us that money to to purchase two vehicles," the manager said.
The board approved paint application number seven at Keystone Sports Complex for $36,153.30 for the pickleball court project and voted unanimously where recorded on the advertising and procurement motions (motions recorded as passing six to zero). The board also approved advertising job postings for truck driver and labor positions and other routine financial motions, including approval of the May check register and voucher payments.
