Emergency Management Director Todd Gianetti attended the May 5 Board of Selectmen meeting to review his role and the department's responsibilities. Gianetti distributed a copy of his presentation and described how emergency responses are coordinated in Marlborough.
He said that lake-related emergencies would be handled by the Marlborough Volunteer Fire Department and that he serves as the town's direct contact with Eversource for foreseeable storms and potential outages. Gianetti and resident Deb Bourbeau agreed to work together on traffic-control arrangements for the America 250 Top Dog event at the public library.
No formal actions or funding requests were taken during the presentation; Gianetti's remarks were informational and intended to clarify responsibilities and interagency contacts ahead of summer events.
