Twin City to rebid service-line inventory; $54,750 GEFA grant discussed at workshop

City staff told the Twin City Commission at a Nov. 5 pre-commission workshop that the city will rebid a service-line inventory and pursue a $54,750 GEFA Drinking Water SRF Lead Service Line Replacement Program grant.
City Engineer McClellan said the solicitation that preceded Hurricane Helene produced only one bid that exceeded the project's estimates and recommended rebidding. The minutes record the new bid cycle closing on Dec. 3, 2024. The discussion in the workshop was advisory; no final contract award is recorded in the minutes.
