At the June 16, 2026 meeting of the East Bradford Township Historical Commission, commission member Jean Renshaw presented plans and a scale model for a rear addition to her home at 240 Lucky Hill Road (Class 1, HR#96).
Renshaw said the project’s primary objective is to locate all daily living activities on a single floor. She told the commission a zoning variance obtained in 2022 had allowed a prior layout to encroach into the front-yard setback. The proposal before the commission includes metal roofing, Boral siding and Marvin Ultimate windows; Renshaw said the existing windows in the house will remain and the new addition would attach where prior additions are located.
Commission members said the addition fits well with the existing house but recommended that Renshaw re-examine the proposed grading behind the addition to ensure compatibility with the site and prevent potential drainage or visibility issues. No formal vote was recorded on the design at this meeting; the recommendation was advisory.
Renshaw will take the commission’s comments under advisement and follow up with staff as needed. The commission’s next meeting is July 21, 2026.
