Twin City officials reported municipal finances and agreed not to increase the 2024 millage rate during the Oct. 8 meetings. Mayor Matt W. Donaldson read the fund balance, noting $1,505,018.37 as of the end of September 2024.
During the pre-commission workshop the commission discussed options for the 2024 millage rate and reached consensus not to raise it; the body will set the official rate at the Nov. 5 meeting. The commission also reviewed the 2025 Occupational Tax Certificate Schedule and agreed to retain the same schedule as 2024.
The minutes record routine approval of the Sept. 3, 2024 meeting minutes and workshop minutes and show all procedural motions passed unanimously. The commission scheduled a special meeting for Oct. 14, 2024 to address outstanding matters.
No formal budget adoption or millage resolution was recorded on Oct. 8; the final millage rate and any resulting tax calculations will be determined at the Nov. 5 meeting.
