Turin — At the Feb. 11 work session Mayor Sprouse reported two people have expressed interest in filling the council's vacant seat but the council took no formal action.
A planned Water Department presentation was canceled because the town did not have the correct equipment; Mayor Sprouse said it will be ready for the March work session. Attorney Mark Mitchell told the council he has not heard from the judge in the town's ongoing lawsuit.
Council member Lydia Wallin also asked members to read a letter from the Georgia Department of Audits and to respond by the end of the week. The mayor adjourned the meeting at the session's close.
