Turin — Mayor Sprouse asked the council to review the town’s draft charter and submit any requested changes so the document can be voted on and taken to the state Legislature for consideration.
Council member Lydia Wallin said she wants the draft to explicitly include a purchasing policy and rules governing council-member attendance. Mayor Sprouse said the draft already addresses removal for failure to attend but asked members to review the text and offer edits so the council can move toward a formal vote.
No vote occurred at the Feb. 11 work session; the mayor asked for review and suggested the council prepare the charter for presentation to the Legislature once members agree on revisions.
