Ellerman said Donovan & Donovan drew up plans for a reusable shell at the county jail totaling 3,689 square feet (approximately 1,927 sq ft on the first floor and 1,762 sq ft on the second floor). He said he will set up a building committee meeting to discuss moving forward and to prepare recommendations before the next commissioners meeting.
The update was informational; no motions to fund or approve construction were taken at the March 17 meeting.
